Ah, sorry. My last confession I did not explain very well. It’s not that I don’t think I can keep collecting after children. It’s just that my hobby will have to stop in order to help fund fertility treatments. Plus if I do have children because of my medical conditions I know it will all my energy/finances to take of care of them, and BJD’s will need to be sidelined. Thus BJD and the Hobby may not be in my future. Yes I know I could still participate in some ways but in the vein of buying new dolls that just would not be an option.

I just spent 32 dollars on a wig for my doll that hasn’t even arrived yet. I instantly regret it, but also look forward to getting it in the mail! It was the perfect wig for his character and the item was going to disappear from the seller in a week anyway, I just hate spending so much of the money I just saved up I guess.

I want nothing more than for my husband to pick out a special doll for me and surprise me with it. It’s a fantasy I’m not sure will ever happen. He’s bjd clueless even if he is supportive :)

it’s such a relief to see the end of you must have doll wish list, just a doll and a body or to to go!

A doll is not a “fullset” just because you are including some random clothes and wig in the sale. Stop misrepresenting your sales threads, its a waste of my time.

This will probably sound weird, but I wish dolls had more nose diversity. I think noses really make a face unique, but I think most sculpts have pointier noses. Which is fine, but I’d love to see more button or defined noses!

One thing I didn’t expect when I finally made some real friends in the BJD hobby is how bad of an influence they would be on me. It seems like they go out of their way to talk me into buying dolls I have just finished talking myself out of!

I’ve a spot of bother with people, which can’t bond with their dollies. There are people in this hobby buying nearly every doll with face up by a specific artist from the secondary market at any price, just to end up selling these doll again. In addition they grab all rarely slots at the best face up services and once their heads are home, they notice it’s not what they were looking for. Gosh, they can have the prettiest dolls and will resell them, because they’re not 100% satisfied.

But a Minifee Chloe can be modded into such unique dolls that don’t even look like a Chloe….. I find myself wanting her, it’s easy to find things for her and it is easy to make her pretty! I wonder if it’s just a creative urge….

I’ve been diagnosed with cancer. All my doll money will now go to my chemotherapy treatment, and I’m not complaining. I have plenty of dolls as it is, I’m just really glad I had funds to spare to start treatment. Now I’m just excited to go home and play with the dolls I have.
